Mite
Mite is a type of tiny insects hardly seen with bare eyes and has many species. Over 40 species are already found living in human houses, over 10 of which are related to human health. The most common ones are dust mites, acaroid mites, demodicid mites and sarcoptid mites. Survey shows that 97% of adults are mite-infected, mostly by dust mites. The dead bodies, secretion and excrement are all disease-causing allergens. They scatter and grow in carpets, sofas, stuffed toys, bed sheets, cushions, mattresses and pillows, feeding on human sweat, secretion and dander, propagating on a high speed. Acaroid mites mainly breed in stored food and grains; demodicid mites mainly parasitize in human hair follicle and glandula sebacea, such as nose, ears, scalp, chest, back and ear canals; sarcoptid mites parasitize on the skin surface of human and mammals. It is worth mentioning that more and more pets being fed at home makes it easier for human to be infected by sarcoptid mites through clothes and bed sheets, even causing transmission between human beings.

The hazard of mites
- Mites can induce local inflammatory lesion, causing excessive sebum secretion and resulting in an oily face.
- Mites can enter eyelash follicle and glandula sebacea, causing eyelid inflammation or eyelash loosen.
- Mites can be the reason for dandruff, itchy scalp, scalp diseases, rough hair and hair loss.
- Mites accelerate wrinkles, skin pigmentation such as chloasma, feckles, or melisma. They also induce acnes, acne scars,acnitis, pachulosis, cutin thickening and dimpled appearance of skin. Mites can also cause pruritus, rosacea, face redness and bloodshot.
- Mites are the media of infectious skin diseases: mites in the skin move in and out of skin at all times. When they climb on the skin surface, they will bring cosmetic residues, pollutants and bacteria on the surface with them under the skin， causing skin inflammation when skin resistance is weak.
- They also cause melanin metabolism disorder and pigmentation.
- Mite allergy syptoms: in each gram of indoor air we breath, there are tens to thousands of mites of 20-40 species. A test aimed to find the reason for hereditary atopic dermatitis found out that more than 50% show positive reactions to mites.
