    Termite

Termites exist as early as 200 million years ago. They live in tropical and subtropical areas and feed on wood and cellulose. There are more than 3000 species of termites known in the world, 479 of which are found in China while around 70 species are hazardous to buildings.

Termites are strong in adaptability, viability and fertility. An adult queen ant can lay 10,000 eggs in a day and as many as 500 million eggs through its life. Termites grow in an astonishing speed. Without proper prevention and treatment, termites are hard to kill once they become a disaster and will cause incalculable damage. Termite is a type of primitive social insects and has complex caste differentiation and lives in mounds in groups. Termite is a type of hemimetabolic insects of a lower level. They are often confused with ants. They are both social insects, but ant is of a higher level, closer to bee. Ant only has a history of around 70 million years. So termite is the oldest social insect on the earth. It has been listed as one of the five major pests, the hazard of which is a global issue.

    The hazard of termite

Termites cause serious damage to buildings, especially the timber or half-timber structured ones. They hide deep within the timber structure and damage the bearing points, resulting in sudden collapses, personal injuries and property losses, which gather public concern. Coptotermes is the species of termites that causes greatest damage to architectures in China. It is easily widespread and has large groups, and can cause great damage within a short time. Termites feed on cellulose, which exists everywhere in the nature. The formic acid secreted by termites can corrode concrete and metal structures, causing damage to modern architectures.

    Our advantage
    • Locating termites using professional infrared devices and microwave detecting devices from Australia.
    • Killing groups of termites using water-based termiticide and termite baits.
    • Protecting wooden articles from termites, building safety zones and barriers to keep termites from invasion.
